Our Story

From the mind of a Bristolian, to a family run factory in India, JackFruit embodies fun, friendship and everyday adventure.

“We headed to Rajasthan in Northern India, where monotone has no place and colour stares you in the face at every corner.”

Who are we?

Hello. We are JackFruit, a Bristol based clothing brand that is directly inspired by this wonderful city we call home. Bristol is a place of open arms, held out wide to everyone who is up for joining in with the vibrant, mish-mashed, pumping soundclash of life. It is place of outrageous style, where no one needs to be afraid to walk down the street expressing their unique take on what it means to be a human.

Our clothes are suitable for anyone and everyone who dares to take a dip: something bold and ridiculous, unashamedly inexplicably outrageous, and some things subtle too. Something for the dance floor, for the street, for the lounge, or for a full-blown party where you want to stand out from the crowd.

Something for the unashamedly young and fun people who want to express their inner colour and style through their unique and wavy attire. Something for those who like to laugh and who don’t care enough about what all the other people think. Something for the old too, who want to try out something new, or perhaps who never left the colour of their youth behind them.

Our ethos.

We found a way to make our vision a reality when we headed to Rajasthan in Northern India, a small town where monotone has no place and colour stares you in the face at every corner. Here we found a rich and vibrant treasure chest of fabrics to choose from. We were lucky enough to collaborate with Hanuman and his team in their small, independent clothing factory where we spent a lot of time drinking chai and perfecting our designs with the help of their highly skilled tailors, until JackFruit’s first range had been born.

When trading with this wonderful team it was a primary concern of ours to make sure all parties were happy with the exchange. We now want to do the same and so we price our products fairly to make sure our clothing is easily affordable..

We also want to make sure that we put some of our profits back into the community where our clothing is made. For this reason, we donate £1 of every online sale to 'The One Love Project,' a grass roots organisation providing education and opportunities to the street children of Pushkar.

We aim to spread smiles with style all the way.
